to better protect tibetan antelopes and other rare animals, the hoh xil national nature reserve has set up a wildlife rescue center at the sonam dargye protection station. since its establishment in 2002, the center has helped more than 50 tibetan antelopes with rewilding, among the 600-plus wild animals rescued.

tibetan antelopes are mostly found in china's tibet autonomous region, qinghai province, and xinjiang uygur autonomous region. the species is under first-class state protection in china. every year during the migration and breeding season of tibetan antelopes, mountain patrol members rescue the orphaned and injured young in hoh xil, a unesco natural heritage site, and then send them to the rescue center.

for more than 20 years, mountain patrol members have taken good care of rescued tibetan antelopes at this "tibetan antelopes kindergarten", which is 4,400 meters above sea level.
